Parker: Is Des Hasler one defeat from being sacked?

Des Hasler is a man under significant pressure and could be just one defeat away from being relieved of his duties as Titans coach, according to Corey Parker.
With nine defeats in 12 games, their season is well and truly off the rails and they sit firmly at the bottom of the NRL ladder.
Last weekend's 30-point loss to the Broncos marked their eighth defeat in nine weeks and led to Hasler launching an incredible spray at his players saying "the first 40 was probably the most disappointing 40 minutes we have played this year".
The 64-year-old was brought into the club at the start of the 2024 season, charged with turning their fortunes around and developing the playing group into a competitive force.
In his first season the team finished 14th - they had been ninth under former coach Justin Holbrook.
Parker believes the writing is on the wall as the Titans prepare for Friday night’s home clash with the Sea Eagles.
"Manly take on the Titans, let’s look at how big that’s going to be," he said on SENQ Breakfast.
"If Des Hasler goes down in a big way then that could be the end.
"Hasler was brought to the club to mould them into a resilient football team and its probably fair to say they have gone backwards.
"Under Justin Holbrook they were ninth, they were going ok. Things could have been better but at the moment they look absolutely dismantled.
"(With) Des it’s like he’s got to the end of the road, but part of his role is to galvanise the team and it’s just not been happening."
The Titans own a 3-9 win-loss record so far in 2025.
