The NZ Warriors have confirmed today the early release of Dylan Walker, based on compassionate grounds, effectively immediately as the 30-year-old seeks a return to Australia.
Once known as one half of 'The Bald Brothers' alongside Jazz Tevaga, the utility was coming towards the end of his three-year deal with the Auckland-based club that begin in 2023.
Club CEO Cameron George has released the following statement:
“We were keen for Dylan to stay until the end of the season but we appreciate why he needs to return to Sydney.
“We’ve really enjoyed having him at our club and he has given us tremendous service. He goes with our support and best wishes.”

Walker's 46th and final appearance for the Warriors was on May 21 at Go Media Stadium, where the home side put up a gutsy defensive effort to defeat the Sydney Roosters 14-6.
He will now join the Parramatta Eels for the remainder of the 2025 NRL season, through until 2026.
"We’re excited to have a player of Dylan’s calibre join the Eels. Dylan is such a tough competitor who will suit our style of football and he will provide class and experience to our team," Parramatta Eels General Manager of Football Mark O'Neill said.
