The One New Zealand Warriors has re-signed Taine Tuaupiki, with the fullback signing a one-year contract extension to remain at the club until the end of the 2029 NRL season.
The new deal is Tuaupiki's second contract extension within nine months and will see him remain with the Warriors for a seventh season since making his NRL debut in 2023.
The 27-year-old enjoyed the busiest campaign of his career in 2026, featuring in 22 of the Warriors' 26 matches to take his NRL appearance tally to 47.
He also led the club in metres made with 3,798, averaging 172 metres per game, while scoring seven tries and kicking 31 goals.
Tuaupiki also received the Dally M for 'Tackle of the Year' after his effort in running down Manly speedster Jason Saab during the club's 31-30 home win in round 27.
Warriors head coach Andrew Webster said “having Taine here for another three years is hugely exciting for us."
“He never stops competing and earned the right this year to play at NRL level consistently for the first time; his game came on so much as a result.
“We have the greatest admiration for him not only as a quality player but also as a wonderful example of someone who is always team-first.”
Andrew McFadden, the Warriors' GM of recruitment, pathways and development, said: “Taine has come off a terrific season and proven yet again what an asset he is for the club.
“He’s been a great success story after initially joining us on a train and trial deal four years ago.”
