The 2025 NRL Premiership rings have been unveiled at a ceremonial breakfast in Sydney on Tuesday morning.
Since 2001, the 17 players and coach from the winning side have received custom-made Premiership rings which are designed to give the victorious players a lasting personal memento.
SEN’s Andrew Voss revealed that a number of high-profile rugby league personalities have previously contributed to the ring’s design and for 2025, the ring will recognise the junior pathways to first grade that NRL players undertake in their career.
“The NRL and NRLW champions will receive these rings later this week,” Voss told SEN 1170 Breakfast.
“Each year, people have made contributions to the design. Johnathan Thurston had input, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese once had input and former rugby league commentator Ray Warren did it one year.
“This year, it features diamond and emerald green stones with a personalised number.
“On the side, there’s imagery which tells the story from junior to top grade. There is a little figure to an even bigger figure.
“The value of the rings is valued between $10-15,000 each.
“The rings are numbered for the particular player. The coach will get a ring and any extra rings that are requested for staff members and special sponsors of the club can be struck for them.
“There can be no dispute that there will only be one ring with a number one on it, a number three or a number five.
“Make no mistake, these are for the players.”
The inaugural Premiership rings were brought in as part of a sponsorship deal with Pascoe’s Jewellery.
Since 2015, Sydney-based jeweller Affinity Diamonds has designed the Premiership ring.
SEN will have live coverage of the match beginning from 12pm with NRL Crunch Time, which will then be followed by live commentary of the NRLW and NRL Grand Final at Accor Stadium.
The match will kick off from 7:30pm AEDT.
