Form analyst Nic Ashman has picked out two horses he is keen to be with at Doomben on Saturday.
His best comes up in Race 7 (1200m) for trainer Matthew Dunn and jockey Andrew Mallyon in the form of Kingdom Undersiege.
“He’s got a stack of improvement to come and I think he can go on with it,” Ashman said on SENTrack’s Giddy Up.
“Doomben Race 7, No.7, I think this could be a pretty handy horse, Kingdom Undersiege.
“I expect him to get the job done there.”
Kingdom Undersiege is currently priced at $3.90 with Sportsbet for Race 7 which jumps at 4:47pm AEDT.
Ashman other’s selection at the Doomben meeting comes in Race 2 with Peter & Will Hulbert’s Lionel.
“A bit earlier in the day in Race 2 we’ve got a horse called Lionel,” Ashman said.
“He was with Ciaron Maher and has been transferred to Queensland with the Hulbert stable.
“He’s had two runs back and I think he’s ready to peak here third-up from a spell.
“They’re my only two bets at this point in time.”
Lionel, who will be ridden by Martin Harley, is rated a $7 chance with Sportsbet for the second event at 1:48pm.
