AUS v BAN live on SN ExtraNew Zealand Football withdraws support of Infantino for FIFA presidency

New Zealand Football have released a statement that formally withdraws their support for embattled FIFA president Gianni Infantino with voting for the position up at the FIFA Congress in March 2027:
"After careful consideration, NZF has formed the view that decisions and actions within FIFA have contributed to a breakdown in trust and increased division within international football, and that an independent review is required to restore confidence and trust.
"NZF believes this point in time represents an opportunity for all FIFA member associations to advocate for stronger governance, accountability and transparency which are fundamental in maintaining confidence of the administration of the global game."

Their official stance joins the likes of UEFA, England, Wales, Croatia, and the Republic of Ireland who have already withdrawn their endorsement of Infantino.
The FIFA Forward Enterprise scheme is also a concern to NZF, who have stated they will seek an independent review of the steps taken to develop the initiative.
