If last week didn’t get you excited by the talent that was on offer in the Ipswich Cup heats as well as the Dashing Corsair heats then I don’t know what will. All heats funnel into a big night of racing with the 150k to the winner Ipswich Cup the headline, 30k Dashing Corsair Final plus some elite support acts including the Cup Consolation & Sprint Final.
The first race is pencilled for 6:37pm and the last, race ten for 10:01pm. All racing analysis, tips and banter can be heard through SEN TRACK 1593am from 6 to 10pm.
BEST BETS
R1 N8 ASKERN VIOLET
Drawn to settle forward from the wide draw and has speed crashing down to the rail in 7. Last week was impressive without putting fast time on the board but believe it’ll find lengths with another run this week. Should be in front for a long way in what is a very weak field on exposed 457m form. Big show!
R8 N6 GOLD FORCE
Sizzled last week in his heat and I feel not many would’ve expected him to lead. Draws favourably to have an unimpeded run to the first turn which allows him to hit top gear. No pace in 4 & 5 allows space early and the wide types in 7 & 8 will stay wide. Class act who has one paw on the cup!
R10 N4 WHITE MACK
Massive chance with a great draw. Loves this track and trip and returned to the winners list last time out. Yes a drop in trip isn’t ideal but with minimal space inside and wide runners in 5 & 6 I expect to push forward and set a hot tempo. If leads won’t be run down.

R7 N1 BEAST ROYALE
Huge price who draws really nicely. Will settle in top 4-5 early and scrape paint throughout. Will need speed up front as doesn’t necessarily like to win if he hits the front too early. Looks a great staggered bet play, win, top 2/3/4. Has the motor but lacks the winning conviction.
R9 N7 GIVE ME BUCKS
Best drawn dog on the card! Almost made this a best bet. Absolutely no speed in boxes 1 & 2, 4 has some pace, 5 is mad for the rail and has enough early speed & the 8 stays wide. We look to have enough zip to lead clearly, likes the track and trip and owns a nice PB too. Very keen!
