McDonald rates his best winning chance for the remainder of the Flemington Carnival

Superstar jockey James McDonald has steered the punters into his best winning chance for the remainder of the Flemington Carnival.
The champion rider has had enjoyed a fruitful few days at Headquarters riding home five winners with two of those coming at Group 1 level in the Coolmore Stud Stakes aboard Switzerland and the Empire Rose on Atishu.
Asked to tip the fans into one of his rides for either Oaks Day or Champions Day, McDonald highlighted his rides in the Oaks and the Champions Stakes.
“I reckon Powers Of Opal in the Oaks or Fangirl against Pride Of Jenni,” McDonald told SENTrack.
“The tides might’ve turned since the Cox Plate, I know how to ride against her (Pride Of Jenni) now, just take off early and attack!”
Powers Of Opal is the $3.70 second favourite in Thursday’s Oaks where she’ll jump from barrier seven.
Fangirl shares the third line of betting with Pride Of Jenni at $6 in the Champions Stakes.
Ben Melham will replace jockey Declan Bates on Pride Of Jenni.
