Mayhem and revelations: Millsy & Guy’s best on air moments of 2025
One took 44 Test wickets for New Zealand, the other has a strong nose for the biggest stories in New Zealand sport.
Together, Kyle Mills and Guy Heveldt have proven to be an entertaining team since their show began in June last year.
With far too many great interviews and hilarious moments to choose from, these are just some of the best from Sport Nation's dynamic 'Drive' duo ahead of their January 19 return together.
Joe Root
Millsy & Guy like to shoot for the biggest names possible when booking guests.
Working alongside executive producer Brad Lewis and assistant producer Finn James, the pair want their interviews to stand out.
One that truly did was when Joe Root joined them on the phone while the England team was touring New Zealand prior to The Ashes.

'Media Man Millsy'
As the months went on, Millsy went from strength to strength in his new full-time media gig and has made the most of learning from an accomplished broadcaster like Guy, with neither shying away from an opinion or highlighting an issue in sport.
It's a career move that former Blackcaps teammate Brendon McCullum saw coming many years ago, as the England coach revealed prior to the first Test of The Ashes.

Game Show Chaos
There’s plenty of fun and games to be had on Millsy & Guy, but someone must lose, and neither of them like being on the losing side.
This controversial ending to a game of Scattegories wouldn’t be the only time questions were asked of the producers’ judicial process.

Off The Rails Thursdays
‘What about the Black Cocks?’
A simple question to Lashes from Millsy about the New Zealand badminton team sent the team into an incredible laughing fit.
It was up to Producer Finn to try his best to get the show back on the rails, but for a few minutes there, it was chaos.
This is just a taste of the mayhem that can happen on a Thursday when Guy shifts his hosting duties to Trackside's Out The Gate.

Mills vs Biles
Producer Brad, aka ‘The Godfather’, throws plenty of hypothetical scenarios and questions at Millsy and Guy each week that can at times result in outrageous claims.
None more so than Mills believing he would beat US Olympic gymnastics great Simone Biles in a high jump competition.
So sure of his convictions while his co-host and everyone in the control room where in shock of said convictions, Mills stated he would do it with his bowling boots on.

Always Back Your Country
“That is disgusting behaviour”
That’s how Millsy put it upon discovering that Guy, on several occasions, had allowed his Canterbury loyalty to push him to cheer on the Wallabies over the All Blacks because Robbie Deans never got the head coaching role.
A clash of opinions? Now that’s great sports radio.
