Liam Lawson is expected to benefit from significant Racing Bulls car upgrades at this month’s United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas.
Italian motorsport news outlet F1ingenerale have reported the upgrades package would includes a new floor, revised sidepods and a redesigned engine cover.
The changes would be aimed at improving the car’s aerodynamic performance, with the Circuit of The Americas offering a test of how the updated parts work across different types of corners.
The upgrades will provide a welcome boost for Lawson after Racing Bulls had to stagger the rollout of its previous package as the team could only prepare the components for one car during the short time frame before the Belgian Grand Prix.

Team principal Alan Permane said the team had agreed that whichever driver qualified ahead at the British Grand Prix would get the upgrade first, and consequently teammate Arvid Lindblad was awarded.
Lawson continued with the earlier specifications, however received them the week later in Hungary.
The New Zealander will arrive in United States following a strong Singapore weekend, where he finished fifth in the sprint race and seventh in the grand prix to score 10 points and retain his 'best of the rest' status.
The new parts could also supply Lawson with one final opportunity to prove his worth for a 2027 Formula 1 seat as Racing Bulls are expected to finalise their drivers over coming weeks.
