Kiwi Brandon Smith set for immediate move to South Sydney Rabbitohs

Kiwi hooker Brandon Smith is reportedly on the move, granted a release from the Sydney Roosters to join the South Sydney Rabbitohs, effective immediately.
According to CODE Sports, the rival clubs have been in negotiations over the past 48 hours, with a deal expected to be reached by the end of the week.
The terms of the deal dictate South Sydney must pay a transfer fee of $AU180,000 ($NZ194,650)
The 13-Test NZ international struggled to find the form of his Storm career during his time at the Roosters, leading to a three-year deal with Souths from 2026, which will now be brought forward to commence in 2025.
Smith is currently recovering from surgery for a torn ACL and is expected back on the field in approximately six weeks.
