The Fast Break: Josiah Jordan-James ready to make his mark with NZ Breakers

Josiah Jordan-James is the newest American import to join the New Zealand Breakers, with the 25-year-old forward excited to showcase his abilities on both ends of the floor.
The former University of Tennessee standout spent last season in the NBA G League with the Indiana Mad Ants and believes the Breakers can help him rediscover his best form after an injury-hit college career.
“I think on this team, I’m able to showcase the more complete game,” Jordan-James said on The Fast Break Podcast.
“I’m definitely excited to showcase what I’m capable of doing on both ends of the floor.”
Jordan-James has quickly settled into life in New Zealand, praising the people, food and scenery before declaring himself a Warriors fan after attending their win over the Knights.
“I enjoyed it. I’m a Warriors fan now. Shoutout to the Warriors, the atmosphere is amazing,” he said.
The Breakers import will also face former Team USA teammate Cole Anthony, who is joining Melbourne United, and is relishing the chance to go head-to-head with the former first-round pick.
“When we match up, I definitely want to come out on top,” Jordan-James said. “I’m going to take that matchup personally.”
Jordan-James also reflects on his time with Team USA, winning gold alongside Anthony and Tyrese Maxey, and looks ahead to the Breakers’ NBL campaign.
