John Kanga announces once-in-a-lifetime prizes for Caulfield racegoers this Saturday

Racing fans are in for a treat this weekend with the return of Pride Of Jenni, but that’s not all they have to look forward to.
If the champion mare is steered to victory by Craig Newitt, preferred over regular rider Declan Bates, then one lucky member will be awarded with a day they’ll never forget.
The 1800m Peter Young Stakes will see a mere five horses take on the seven-year-old and, in the expected heat, Jenni will be aiming to break the spirits of her rivals.
Melbourne Racing Club Chairman John Kanga announced two separate prizes on SENTrack’s Giddy Up with Gareth Hall if Jenni is successful.
“It’s great for racing, having her back,” Kanga said.
“There are two campaigns from us that are going to run. We’ll shout the bar (one drink) for over 18s and with responsible service of alcohol as well.
“We thought we’d celebrate her win, if she does win, and it’ll be a great day.
“We’ve also got one for the members. Memberships are only $99 until the end of April, and we’ll have a member’s package which will be an owner for the day.
“They’ll get to come up to the committee room and you just have to be there by Race 1.
“Some lucky member will get to join us in the committee room, we’ll go down to the mounting yard, winners room, see the interview with Ciaron Maher and (Craig) 'Froggy' Newitt and a $2000 cash prize on the day.
“If they’re a couple then they’ll come up to the committee room together.”
The SENTrack Deck will also be returning this Saturday, and we will be indoors with air-conditioned comfort.
