How all of the Aussies performed in the second round of the Australian Open singles draw
A total of 9 Aussie players competed in the men’s and women’s singles second round at the 2025 Australian Open.
13 Aussies were eliminated in the first round, and another seven were eliminated in the second.
That leaves just two Aussies remaining in the third round of the singles draws.

Alex De Minaur (8)
Defeated Tristan Boyer 6-2, 6-4, 6-3.
3R matchup: vs Francisco Cerundolo (31) on Saturday.

Aleksandar Vukic
Defeated Sebastian Korda (22) 6-4, 3-6, 2-6, 6-3, 7-5.
3R matchup: Jack Draper (15) on Friday.

Jordan Thompson (27)
Lost to Nuno Borges 3-6, 2-6, 4-6.

Thanasi Kokkinakis
Lost to Jack Draper (15) 6-7, 6-3, 3-6, 7-5, 6-3.

James McCabe (WC)
Lost to Alex Michelsen 5-7, 3-6, 6-7.

Tristan Schoolkate (WC)
Lost to Jannik Sinner (1) 6-4, 4-6, 1-6, 3-6.

Women’s
Talia Gibson (WC)
Lost to Paula Badosa (11) 1-6, 0-6.

Alja Tomljanovic (WC)
Lost to Diana Shnaider (12) 4-6, 5-7.

Lost to Danielle Collins (10) 6-7, 6-4, 2-6.
