“Oozes potential”: Racing’s most exciting 3YO
There is a certain three-year-old returning this weekend who Matt Welsh believes “oozes potential”.
The name of the filly in question is Scenic Point who resumes for Lindsay Park in the Group 3 Quezette Stakes (1100m) at Caulfield on Saturday.
Racing industry expert Welsh expects that Scenic Point, who is unbeaten from two career starts, will become a Group 1 winner.
Ben, Will & JD Hayes trained a glut of two-year-old winners last season and the Written Tycoon filly is the pick of the bunch in Welsh’s eyes.

“The most exciting three-year-old for mine goes around at Caulfield on Saturday - Scenic Point,” Welsh said on SENTrack’s Giddy Up.
“I just can’t wait to see her back at the track.
“The Hayes boys had something like over 20 individual two-year-old winners last season. They’ve got an unbelievable team of three-year-olds heading into this year, an embarrassment of riches.
“Scenic Point I’ve got right at the top. What she did at Pakenham on debut was awesome. She then won her only other start in the Redoute’s Choice (at Caulfield).
“She looked as green as grass there. She just oozes potential, she’s trialled up well.
“It’s a hot Quezette, the nominations are awesome. You’ve got Signature Scent coming through that winter form and looks really talented herself.
“But I’m really looking forward to seeing Scenic Point I think she’s a Group 1 winner in waiting.”
Scenic Point, who will be ridden by Daniel Stackhouse, is currently the $2.60 favourite with Sportsbet for the Quezette which jumps at 3:25pm AEST on Saturday.
