Is the Cox Plate next for Autumn Glow?

Autumn Glow made the step up to Group 1 level look easy, dominating in the $1.5 million Epsom (1600m).
In her first ever performance at this level, the four-year-old mare dusted off some elite competition off like they were nothing.
The Chris Waller trained bay is now seven wins from seven starts and doesn’t look like slowing down anytime soon.
When discussing what distance best suits the Group 1 winner, Cam Luke was adamant that the Cox Plate distance (2040m) is suited perfectly towards her.
“I will say this after every single time she runs, I say this every time, she is a 2000m horse,” he told SENTrack’s Trackside.
“I think she is a 2000m horse.
“I think the Cox Plate is suited perfectly for her.
“I dare say she will go to the Golden Eagle (1500m) more so than the Cox Plate.”
David Taggart was also in awe at Autumn Glow’s excellence and was astounded that the mare won the race by 1.44 lengths after she hit a flat spot at the 300m mark.
“It’s amazing how she hits that flat spot,” Taggart said.
“She hits that flat spot, doesn’t she.
“You get worried about it and you go hang on.
“She hits that flat spot a long way from and that’s a problem.
“It takes her a good 100m-150m to wind up.”
Autumn Glow is the $2 favourite (on Sportsbet) to win the Golden Eagle and $10 to win the Cox Plate.
But the question remains: which race will she be run in?
