After eight years in the Chief Executive role, Greg Peters will stand down from his position at New Zealand Rugby League.
With NZ Rugby, NZ Cricket Netball NZ already searching for new CEOs following the exits of Mark Robinson, Scott Weenink and Jennie Wyllie respectively, NZRL join their sports body counterparts in the hunt.
Following the announcement of Peters' departure, NZRL have acknowledged the impact he had in the role - seeing player numbers double at the grassroots levels from 22,000 to 45,000, plus a 30% increase of revenue since 2018 when he came on board.
NZRL chairperson Justin Leydesdorff paid tribute to the legacy Peters will leave behind at the national sporting body.
"We have been extremely fortunate to have had one of the country's top sports administrators lead the sport over eight years. Greg successfully combined his love for the grassroots game with the commercial complexities of running an NSO and leaves the code significantly better off than when he took over," he said.

Peters himself said it was an honour and privilege to hold his position for the length of his eight-year tenure.
"I'm incredibly proud of what my small and very committed team has achieved over the past few years. And I am in awe of, and want to pay tribute to, the thousands of people who toil at the grassroots of the game and drive the growth and development week in week out with very scarce resources," Peters said.
"New Zealand Rugby League will always have a big place in my heart and I look forward to watching the game reach new heights in future years."
One of the last acts of Peters' time as NZRL CEO was to confirm that Auckland's Eden Park will host the neutral game as part of the 2027 State of Origin series.
