Gator's Game Plan: David Gately's Saturday best bets (11/10)
David Gately has provided his best bets for Caulfield and Rosehill this Saturday.
See Gator's Game Plan below:

BET OF THE DAY (Melbourne)
CAULFIELD - Race 10 No.1 - AMEENA - Luckless fresh in Sydney then ran home well in G1 Manikato when not far off star mares Magic Time and Lady Shenandoah. Back a notch here. 59kg but, top pick.
BET OF THE DAY (Sydney)
ROSEHILL - Race 5 No.2 - FARNICLE - Didn't quicken fresh in Heritage but that last 100m was nice work. That form may have been franked in previous race by now. Much better suited 1400m and less depth here. Sits up closer gate 2 also.

Group 1 analysis
Caulfield: Race 6 - G1 Might And Power - WFA - 2000m
2 - BUCKAROO - Home hard fresh when 3L off Treasurethe Moment then 1400m-to-1800m in Underwood and took off early, loomed but Sir Delius kicked in.. Turns out, that’s outstanding form. Leaning his way at the price.
5 - TREASURETHE MOMENT - Brilliant return win in Memsie off fast pace then chased Pride Of Jenni all way (daylight 3rd) and was month between runs off colic setback. Unbeaten 2000m. Unbeaten 3rd-up. Star !! Very hard to beat.
4 - GLOBE - Very good again latest when attacked and chasing a fierce speed. May finally get an easy lead here…
1 - LIGHT INFANTRY MAN - Not sure he’s flying but getting fitter and did run over Globe Flem last Spring when they clashed.
3 - HEZASHOCKA - Fifth top-rated runner.
Caulfield: Race 7 - G1 Toorak Hcp - 1600m
5 - SEPALS - Classes above them fresh then sat on a fearsome speed (46.25 1st-800m) in G1 Rupert Clarke, took over a long way out, yet held them all off (and still was holding them after the line). A few were looking behind but he was outstanding !!
3 - EVAPORATE - No luck fresh then had setback (virus) and 6-weeks off into Sandown Stakes, he was wide/ working early then took over and held them all off. Great win. Was wide no cover when 4th to Mr Brightside at WFA as 3yo remember. Good horse! Danger.
8 - WILLYDOIT - Love way he hit line fresh against the bias. Pericles/ Swiftfalcon then both good in G1 Epsom. Much better suited 1600m and drops 2kg.
10 - DAMASK ROSE - Ran very, very well herself in that fast Rupert Clarke from back wide (no cover mostly). She beat Evaporate when they clashed in NZ in March at 1500m and won her only go 1600m
9 - LEICA LUCY - Flew home in Lets Elope off modest tempi and has nice weight swing on Lazzura this time.. Overs??
7 - LAZZURA - Lovely return win then great fight to win that Let’s Elope and that form well-franked since.
Caulfield: Race 8 - G1 Caulfield Guineas - 3YO SW - 1600m
9 - AUTUMN BOY - Excellent return closing in hard with big weight out wider against track bias then back and 4-wide in track record Golden Rose. Fancy he was already looking for 1600m anyway, gets that now!
2 - WODETON - Rock solid in that sizzling Golden Rose (every chance) but brave to hold second place there. It looks the right form. No reason to doubt him at 1600m.
8 - NAVY PILOT - Had good run in Prelude but good effort given 1100m-to-1400m 2nd-up and they ran useful time/ figures. Should relish 1600m.
18 - REGAL AWARD - Fancy is much more often than Navy Pilot but still does so much wrong… Also… 2nd-emergency so doubt they even gain a start.
3 - VINROCK - To 1400m two-back and controlled the race but won well with weight. Back/ In traffic and lame latest and must forgive. Goes forward to offset gate I assume.
14 - PLANET RED - Looked in need of 1400m and bigger track MV, he got both Caulfield but ran wide whilst race was dominated closer to rail. He ran well. Yes 1600m.
10 - SPACE RIDER - Clear best cover that same race and chance here at odds also…
