Race 3 | 6. Timely Tom
Got tipped out after debut run and based on jump outs looks ready to play a part today. 1200m feels a better suited kick off and will control the race from that gate. The favoured horses (Runchickenrun and Moaksun) are drawn horribly and both will be a fair way back! Tom will be hard to catch based on the improvement we should see with maturing.
Race 6 | 10. Winning Toast
This race might say BM70 but it doesn’t read like one really hence why I think this horse will go from maiden to winning this. Probably should have won resuming at Bendigo wide and last start was dominant. There is a little speed including stablemate (Capulet) so hopefully can squeeze in ok from bad gate and as long as a backside is found, there shouldn’t be an issue here for the horse who has class on the others!
Race 7 | 4. Eugenius
First up form isn’t stellar but this today is way easier than last prep when in tougher races than this! (Carbonados, Is It Me, Liberami, Name Dropper). Drawn nicely and can sit 1 out 1 back on the back of the speed (Lim’s Bighorn) and without a massive amount of speed outside of that, he can sit close to lead. Claim of 2kg helps and as long as he handles the Syntho ok, we can all be genius’ when he wins!
GOULBURN
Race 7 | 4. Spirits Burn Deep
Gets back down in class after a poor run in a Highway in town but probably wrong set up and part of the track! Gets up to 1300m which suits and wil squeeze forward so will need a little luck. Liquor Talk will go fast from just inside SBD so can follow him over. Closer to a good track won’t be an issue and the 2kg claim is an added bonus. I’ve got a couple of the quaddie but I expect this bloke to be very hard to beat in a much more suitable race.
MUSWELLBROOK
Race 5 | 5. Zelestial
Little concern as always with second up after long break but the speed today (Ronny Bee, Gelsey, Dash By) will allow this backmarker a chance again! Grandini has since won so the form has held up! She will be again fitter today and the outside is readily available from that gate for a horse who loves to roll late.
