Cam Luke
SEYMOUR
Race 8 | 2. Blazing Sword
Was pretty good over the 1600m on a slow pace where I’d ran well late. Gets to the 2000m for the first time and that suits. Toe into ground is his wheelhouse and his easy win at Albury two back (three wide the trip) is comparable to this field. Speed map is a little slow so I doubt he gets as far back but as last start but I’ll leave it up to the gun jockey to get it done.
Race 9 | 2. Flossing (each-way)
Hasn’t been at his best for a little while but also hasn’t been back to a 64 or a mile either. Last few races been way tougher than this and actually felt the runs were ok without being super! Toe into the ground a huge plus as is the speed map to sit three pairs back with cover. Claim is a big help for a jockey riding well and $10 is overs and a great each way bet!
TAMWORTH
Race 6 | 4. Release Point
It has been a little while since that solo win but up to the 1400m off a little freshen in a race lacking depth works. Soft track is a plus as is Bullock. He always runs well albeit without winning but he has been in better races than this. I trust the stable to have been able to hold his fitness in the break and based on that thought, he will run up to his Scone run and be too good!
Race 7 | 6. Occult
Little freshen up since a great maiden win resuming for new stable. Had a spin around in a scone trial since and looks destined for decent things. Stays at the 1200m is a big plus and Grima in wonderful form and she can get a backside and wait whilst the fav drawn outside her will need to work a little early and I’m not 100% sold on Tough Guy being a 1200m horse. I’m with Occult at $3.40 but I think he’ll he backed late and wins.
TAREE
Race 4 | 7. Shalamiyna
Stepped up from 1400m to 1900m last start and actually ran pretty well but I do expect back to the mile from the inside gate on the heavy track will lead today. Heavy track no issue at all as she won her maiden here on the slip! Didn’t have a great amount of luck last start so expect Emily Farr with the 2kg claim to take that out of play and say catch the fit horse if you can and I don’t think they will.
Race 5 | 5. Buck Pharoah
On the quick backup which I do like after he was too good last week at Port Macquarie. Jockey in really good form and from that gate I do expect he’ll be a little closer today in the run. Absolutely loves the heavy track and as long as the inside isn’t a huge disadvantage, even though he is up in grade he is gonna be really hard to beat.

SEYMOUR
Race 9 | 2. Flossing
Back in grade and back to mile big ticks. If rain comes late in day even more of a positive. Claiming apprentice will ride horse back but crazy each-way price $9. Save on #10 if you want who can also win.
TAMWORTH
Race 4 | 4. Bellini Spritz
Good last start, up in trip and blinkers on today. Doesn't need to improve much to win this. Clearly the horse to beat as market suggests $2.35.
TAREE
Race 4 | 3. Cats Quarters
Hasn't won for a while but will jump and lead and take some catching on his favoured heavy track. Mollie Fitzgerald knows this horse well and im expecting it to be in the finish $6.
SUNSHINE COAST
Race 1 | 3. Turbo Torque
No speed in race so I'm expecting Ryan Maloney to be positive here on the best horse in the race. Third up, fit and up in trip suits. $2.20.
