Cam Luke & Sam Hyland have your Friday sorted on Trackside.
The lads have taken a close look at Geelong, Canberra & Cairns in a bid to find the family some winners.
See their best bets below:👇
Cam Luke
GEELONG
Race 1 | 7. Bedourie
Shouldn’t even be in a maiden because it should’ve won second start but here we are and it’s gonna be really hard to beat today. Has jumped out well and will have run of the race, been gelded, blinkers off, nose roll on and a superstar jockey on board are all ticks. Comes out of the same debut race as fav (Davida) but rather than go to paddock we did see it run a couple more times so a tad more race experience is where I’m leaning.
Race 5 | 10. Flowerdale
Was really good in town last start and is drawn today for a soft run! First time on a good track won’t hurt her and nor will the smidge back in trip. Sat OSL last start so a little cover is preferable today which Allen can get for sure but it means fingers crossed for luck! Eskimo will lead and should be in contention so shouldn’t have a horse back into the lap so luck should be on our side!!!
Race 6 | 2. Amphactor
Good track, up in distance and quicker turnaround all helps this horse! Had the seven week break before the run in town (same race as Flowerdale) and had no room in straight. Should have finished way closer and back onto a good track is a win. Might not get as far back today with a slightly better gate and especially without a major amount of speed on paper! Open race but I expect this bloke to have a decent crack late and get it done!!
CANBERRA
Race 5 | 2. Sunsource
Think he is the best horse in the race and the rise back to 1900m works. Has to carry the weight but I doubt that slows him against this field. Speed will be dictated by Darken (who is a danger at a price) and will allow this bloke to get a nice speed map. Was left a little flat footed last start in tougher race over the Mile but hit line well. Poly always a small concern but I think class prevails here!!
Sam Hyland
GEELONG
Race 1 | 9. Davida
Was okay at her only start and went to the paddock and has come back a sharper filly, has looked very good in her trials and can jump on the bunny here. Pat Hyland trained the mother that showed good ability and didn’t get to see the best of her, expect this filly to be better.
CANBERRA
Race 3 | 9. Heligan
Was okay at Wyong last start and this will be easier, don’t want it to get to far away in the run, should be ready to win.
CAIRNS
Race 3 | 4. Tarong
Was good first up and then plain last time around, from the good draw will take closer order and give a sight, good hope, all the best punters!
