Mayweather v Pacquiao 2.0: Vegas set to host rematch

Floyd Mayweather v Manny Pacquiao the rematch?
It’s on according to the Filipino former multi-weight world champion.
A decade on from what was labelled the “fight of the century”, 46-year-old Pacquiao has said he “cannot retire with peace of mind with that defeat”.
Mayweather won the 2015 fight after 12 rounds by unanimous decision.
In an interview with Seconds Out, posted to YouTube, Pacquiao said that he and Mayweather’s people are “in negotiations” for a re-match most likely in Las Vegas.
"Right now we have a lot of negotiations about my next fight; there's a possible rematch with Floyd Mayweather," Pacquiao told a news conference earlier this week.
"There's a lot of ongoing negotiations right now, so it's hard to plan what fight I'm going to post. I'm waiting for the final negotiation.
"I'd love to have another fight, a rematch with Floyd Mayweather. So I hope that in the negotiations, we can understand each other and we can negotiate well.
"It depends on whether we can understand each other. My people and his people are directly co-ordinating."
Immediately after the fight in 2015, Pacquiao said he had been suffering with a shoulder issue. Now he wants to fight injury free.
"It's very interesting because, right now, I don't have a shoulder problem,” he said.
"I'm sure the world of boxing will be excited if the rematch will push through. He has his own decision so I cannot prevent him from fighting Mike Tyson."
Mayweather retired with an undefeated record in 2017 (50-0, 27 KOs), but is scheduled to fight Mike Tyson in an exhibition bout next year.
"I've been doing this for 30 years, and there hasn't been a single fighter that can tarnish my legacy," Mayweather said last month.
"You already know that if I am going to do something, it's going to be big and it's going to be legendary. I'm the best in the business of boxing. This exhibition will give the fans what they want."
