World Cup 2026: Who's qualified for the knockout stages?
The 2026 FIFA World Cup™ is well and truly up and running, with the tournament now in its second match week.
Already, we've seen plenty of upsets that have had serious ramifications for a nation's chances of progressing out of the 12 groups.
So, who's already secured their spot, and who's had their tournament come to an end?
Catch all the Socceroos action on SEN, Australia's official radio broadcaster of the FIFA World Cup 2026™.

Who's qualified?
Mexico became the first side to secure a spot in the Round of 32 on Friday (AEST) following their 1-0 win over South Korea.
With FIFA’s new tiebreaker rule that prioritises the head-to-head clash between nations on equal points compared to the traditional method of using goal difference, El Tri will now finish Group A in first.
That rule change has also benefitted fellow co-hosts the United States, who have won Group D following their 2-0 victory over Australia and Germany, who have claimed top spot in Group E with a come-from-behind 2-1 win against Côte d'Ivoire.
Who's eliminated?
While some teams have secured their passage to the Round of 32, others have seen their chances go up in smoke with a match to spare.
Haiti became the first team to be eliminated in the 48-team tournament after suffering a 3-0 loss to Brazil, which, coupled with their 1-0 loss to Scotland, sees them finish in fourth in Group D with a clash against Morocco to go.
They were quickly joined by Turkiye, which suffered another shock defeat. This time, they lost to Paraguay 1-0 despite the South American side playing with 10 men for the entire second half.
