Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) is thrilled to announce that two of Australia’s leading football voices, Simon Hill and Mark Bosnich, will call the Socceroos matches live and in-venue at the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026.
The announcement comes as the station celebrates 50 days to go until arguably the biggest tournament in world sport kicks off in North America.
Hill, whose voice is synonymous with the biggest moments in Australian football, will be joined by SEN regular, Bosnich as they call all three of Australia’s group matches live from North America, broadcasting from Vancouver, Seattle and Santa Clara.
Across SEN’s comprehensive FIFA World Cup 2026 coverage throughout Australia and New Zealand, the pair will be joined by one of the game’s most recognisable personalities in Archie Thompson, as well as Adam Peacock, Brenton Speed and Jordan Kounelis as commentators throughout the tournament, providing football fans with expert insight and analysis.
SEN 1170am’s afternoon host, Adam Peacock, will also be on the ground in North America, broadcasting his program live from the United States and Canada while providing regular updates and content across SEN’s broader network.
Across the 39‑day tournament, SEN will broadcast up to 49 matches, with coverage available across the SEN and Sport Nation networks.
Beyond live match calls, SEN’s football programs Gloves Off with Bozza and Arvos with Adam Peacock will air live from Canada and the United States across the opening month of the World Cup.
SEN will also produce a daily one‑hour program, The Global Game, airing immediately after each matchday’s coverage and featuring analysis from the day’s commentary teams.
Hill said he was thrilled to be a part of the biggest tournament in world sport as a part of the SEN commentary team.
“The World Cup is the pinnacle of the game, and to be calling Australia’s matches live on the world’s biggest stage is always special,” Hill said.
“SEN’s commitment to football coverage continues to grow, and I’m looking forward to bringing listeners close to the action from these incredible venues.”
SEN’s Chief Executive, Craig Hutchison, added that the network was thrilled to play a part in delivering this benchmark sporting event to fans across Australia and New Zealand.
“The FIFA World Cup is one of the biggest sporting events on the planet, and SEN is proud to deliver wall‑to‑wall coverage with the best football voices in the country,” Hutchison said.
“Our listeners can expect authoritative calls, sharp analysis and unparalleled access across the tournament, whether they’re tuning in at home or on the move.”
The FIFA World Cup 2026 commences on Thursday 11 June, with matches hosted across Canada, the United States and Mexico.
Sport Nation will also be commentating the All Whites matches against Iran, Egypt and Belgium live on all New Zealand frequencies, and the Sport Nation app, with a call team that is yet to be announced.
