Excitement Builds for 2025 Perth Football League Season Opener
The anticipation is at an all-time high as the 2025 Perth Football League (PFL) season kicks off this weekend. With 75 clubs, including new additions Hammond Park, Swan View, and Warwick Greenwood, the competition is set for one of its biggest seasons yet. Across the Perth metro area, 328 teams will take to the field, with around 150 games played each weekend, promising plenty of action for footy fans in WA.
North Fremantle and Whitfords return to A Grade in 2025, with Whitfords making their first appearance at the top level since 2017. Their return adds another layer of intrigue to what is already shaping up to be a fiercely competitive season.
Women’s football in the PFL continues to thrive, with Swan Valley and Hamersley Carine expanding from one women’s team to two. Kingsway is also making history by joining the Women’s competition for the first time. Meanwhile, Baldivis and Bullcreek Leeming have earned their spots in A Grade Women, marking a significant milestone for both clubs.
The PFL’s Integrated competition continues to expand, with University and Wanneroo joining in 2025. This growth further strengthens the league’s commitment to inclusivity and providing more opportunities for players of all abilities to participate in community football.
