Form analyst Mick Gannon is very keen on Willaidow at Rosehill on Saturday.
The Marc Conners gelding races first-up in the Southern Cross Stakes over 1200m and Gannon believes he is a class above this field.
“I’ve just got the one best bet, short and sweet,” Gannon said on Fitzy’s Form Lounge on SENTrack.
“Race 8, No.5, Willaidow. I cannot believe the price they’re betting.
“This is a really good quality galloper. Gets barrier 1 with Tyler Schiller and over the 1200m at Rosehill is drawn to get an easier time of it.
“By 4:35pm tomorrow it will be a hard and fast surface and he’ll be off and gone.
“Accredited and the like are coming through these sort of off-season races and I think Willaidow will win at this grade and even beyond further into the preparation.
“A class above, Willaidow.”
Willaidow, who has seven career wins from 16 starts, is the $4.20 second favourite with Sportsbet behind Accredited at $3.20 for Race 8 at Rosehill.
