Following an inconsistent regular season, ACT Brumbies head coach Stephen Larkham believes his side has finally found the stability they were searching for heading into their playoff game against the Hurricanes on Friday evening.
Last weekend saw a devastating 21-19 loss for the Brumbies to Moana Pasifika, and although Larkham admits his team took a step backwards then, he isn't deterred by the result.
"We've probably smoothed out the inconsistencies and issues that we had with selection throughout the season," Larkham told Sport Nation’s Millsy & Guy.
The Brumbies were hot off the blocks to start the 2026 season, winning their opening three matches, before injuries and personnel changes disrupted their momentum.

The Brumbies sat sixth at the end of the Super Rugby Pacific regular season that finished last week, however the Hurricanes topped the ladder, pulling away from all other teams.
But while history favours the Hurricanes at home, the Brumbies have built a reputation as one of the competition's toughest finals opponents.
They have previously ended Hurricanes' campaigns in knockout rugby - yet an Australian team has never won a finals game in New Zealand.

But instead of fretting history, Larkham is focused on ensuring his side delivers its best performance of the season, when it matters most in this sudden death match.
"Everything has to go right in these games," he said.
"It's certainly been a focus and a talking point for the team this week to make sure physically we're right, mentally we've got our detail there and we have our best performance through best prep."
