Scan results have confirmed that Brisbane Broncos’ stars Adam Reynolds, Ezra Mam and Selwyn Cobbo will likely be out for the remainder of the home and away season.
All three picked up hamstring injuries during the Broncos’ 22-2 loss against the Melbourne Storm on Thursday night at AAMI Park.
Mam and Reynolds were both injured during the 21st minute as they pursued Xavier Coates, who looked set to score before being saved at the line by Cobbo.
For Cobbo, he would pull up with only three minutes left in the match.
Following this, all three were sent for scans, which confirmed the Broncos’ medical staff's initial prognosis.
According to club officials, Reynolds is expected to be out for four weeks.
While for Mam and Cobbo, it is expected that they could not return till the second week of finals, should the Broncos qualify, meaning that all three will miss the remainder of the home and away season.
As a result of these injuries, it will likely see Ben Hunt return to the halfback position, which he played at St George Illawarra, with Billy Walters going into the hooker position.
That leaves a vacancy at five-eighth which could be taken up by either Jock Madden, Josh Rogers, Cory Paix or Coby Black.
The four remaining games for Brisbane will be against rivals in the Dolphins and Cowboys, alongside games against Newcastle and the Storm once again.
