'Best golf tournament in the world': Why every LIV event should try to emulate Adelaide

LIV Golf Adelaide is back for a third year with the three-day event kicking off on Friday at The Grange Golf Club.
Last year, Australia’s own Ripper GC took out the team title with Aussie heroes Lucas Herbert, Cam Smith, Marc Leishman and Matt Jones winning in a playoff.
Jones, who was Australia’s top player at last year’s event finishing equal-ninth individually is thrilled to be playing in front of his home fans again.
With the Adelaide event having a festival-like atmosphere across all three days, Jones thinks that the competition should try and emulate what the City of Churches have done in all of its other events.
“Everyone loves coming to Adelaide, all the players love it,” Jones told SEN SA’s The Run Home with Kymbo and the Rooch.
“I was on the plane with Brooks (Koepka), he’s excited to play here and play this golf course, he loves it.
“The way it’s been received here is above and beyond what everyone could have expected.
“It’s been the best golf tournament in the world the last two years I think it’s been voted.
“Adelaide’s done very well for itself and it should be something that every LIV event tries to emulate.”
