Battle of Brooklyn as 'Tank' Davis meets up and coming challenger Lamont Roach

Baltimore-born Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis looks to maintain his undefeated record when he takes on fellow Maryland native Lamont Roach (25-1-1).
Davis has won all 30 of his fights including 28 knockouts and is arguably one of the most exciting boxers in the world today. The 30-year-old has rapidly claimed title after title and most notably, has the WBA Lightweight championship belt to his name.
However, the bigger you get, the larger the target becomes on your back and Davis’ opponent, Lamonte Roach, is wanting to claim a huge scalp for his resume.
After securing the WBA super featherweight world champion title, Roach has moved up a class and is aiming to become a two-weight champion. The 29-year-old will have to become the first fighter to defeat Davis who has only completed all 12 rounds once in his 12-year career.
The all-American affair will be held at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn where Davis has fought in 16 total rounds across his three previous bouts at the venue. It will be Roach’s first venture to Barclays Centre in his career.
The two battle it out on March 1.
