The 2026 Aussie Millions Poker Championship officially began on Thursday night at Crown Melbourne.
The event began with an invite-only celebrity challenge for charity, which concluded with $25,000 being donated to Street Side Medics.
In the first Aussie Millions festival since 2024, 24 VIPs featured in the celebrity challenge, including football personalities Tom Hawkins, Andrew Bassat and Campbell Brown.
St Kilda President Bassat ended up claiming the top prize, beating Hawkins with his final hand of a ten-nine offsuit river a pair overcoming the ex-Cat’s king-four.
The Aussie Millions Main Event begins on Monday at Crown Melbourne, with NBA star Josh Giddey representing tournament sponsor Crownbet!
