One NZ Warriors CEO Cam George joined Sport Nation's Scotty & Izzy for a wide-ranging chat, answering a variety of questions from fans as the club begins planning for the 2027 NRL season following a disappointing end to this year's campaign.
George reflected on the Warriors' finals exit, discussing the challenges of keeping players fresh through a demanding season and the lessons the club can take into next year as they look to take the next step towards a premiership.
He also provided insight into the club's recruitment strategy, the balancing act of retaining key players while developing young talent, and the futures of players including Wayde Egan, as well as addressing the ongoing Nathan Cleary speculation.
The CEO also discussed the possibility of a second New Zealand NRL franchise, whether the Warriors could take a trial match to Dunedin, and the challenges facing the club's NRLW programme as it looks to build for the future.
