Ange Postecoglou set to be axed by Tottenham

Ange Postecoglou is set to be sacked as Tottenham coach irrespective of whether the club wins the Europa League.
The club is in the midst of a miserable season, currently sitting 16th on the Premier League table but safe from relegation.
Defeat to Nottingham Forrest on Easter Monday marked the 18th loss of the season, one loss away from equalling their worst on record.
According to a report in the UK Daily Telegraph, the axe will fall on the Australian coach whatever happens.
“There is a growing sense that Postecoglou is likely to leave Tottenham at the end of the season,” Matt Law wrote. “Regardless of the outcome of the Europa League campaign, either through being dismissed or a mutual parting.”
There had been an expectation Postecoglou would be sacked last week after Spurs came up against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League, but victory meant he lived to fight another day.
“You're going to have to put up with me for a little bit longer,” Postecoglou said afterwards.
"I don't define my career and me as a person by what people think about me. I never have. Never will. If you don't think I'm a good coach today, you won't think I'm a good coach tomorrow, even if we win.
"One game ain't going to make a difference to that. You either think I'm capable of doing the job now or you don't.
"That's where I sit with these things. If people think that us winning tomorrow all of a sudden makes me a better manager than what I am today or us losing tomorrow somehow makes me a worse manager, I guess that's their burden, not mine.”
Spurs meet Bodo/Glimt in the Europa semi-finals on May 21 and while Postecoglou will still be in charge, it seems he will be looking for a new job by season's end.
Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola and Fulham’s Marco Silva are front runners to replace the Australian.
