Carlos Alcaraz will miss ‌Wimbledon as he recovers ‌from the wrist injury that also forced him to withdraw from the French ‌Open, ‌the world No. 2 has said.
"My recovery is going well and I feel much better, ‌but unfortunately I'm still not ready to be ‌able to play, and that's why I have to withdraw from the grass-court swing at ‌Queen's and Wimbledon," the seven-times Grand Slam champion wrote on X.
"They are two really special tournaments for me and I'll miss them a lot. We keep working to return as soon as possible!"

Alcaraz has won three of the last four grand slams, the exception being Wimbledon 2025 when he lost in the final to Jannik Sinner, who in the Spaniard's absence will be a hot favourite to successfully defend the title.
Alcaraz had won the Wimbledon men's singles in 2023 and 2024.
This year began well for Alcaraz. He beat Novak Djokovic in the final of the Australian Open to complete a career grand slam, being at 22 the youngest man to achieve the feat.
But he appeared to sustain the wrist injury in a match in beating Otto Virtanen in the first round of the Barcelona Open in mid-April and has not played since.
